Introducing The Head Of God, a fun series of Tshirt about Zidane's head kick!

Come on if you want to look cool these days, you need to wear one of those, only 20 box!

And you ll make a good action, as these tshirts are sold my my siter's bf! :)

  Deep Cove

North Vancouver is really a nice place to go hiking in the mountain. A few weeks ago we went to Lynn Canyon, where you can find another suspension bridge, a bit smaller than the Capilano bridge, but more shaky and this one is free! The river in that canyon is really cold! but the colour of the water is amazing, green emerald. I was out of battery, so i dont have pictures from that place :(

But for our canoe trip i got some!
While Jen's parents were looking for the BigFoot in their rockies trip, we went for some big adventure! Canoeing in Deep Cove. Deep Cove is a fjord in north vancouver. The coast is full with million dollar homes, very impressive! We went with our indian type canoe along the coast, we even stop on a small island with a pirate flag on it ... scary hehe :) Classic canoe is not as easy as kayak... isnt it Jen :)?

  Stanley Park

I dont think i told you about Stanley Park yet. Well I wasnt lucky with my camera the last times, but now i got a good photo series from the park and the aquarium. Stanley Park has to be my favorite place here in vancouver, i love it! This is a huge forest stuck to downtown and nearly as big. I think it is one of the biggest urban parks in North America. I went cycling around and inside the park with Jen and my mum as well. The view is fantastic!

raccoons stanley park sunset

In this park we already met raccoons, geese, black squirl, grey squirl, brown squirl, turtles and more ! :) The squirls are very friendly and come up to you asking for food! I know its bad to give them stuff, but they asked it so nicely! look at this one asking for a cracker :)

With Jen's parents, we gave some carrots to a family raccoons as well (carrots are good, arent they ?). We found a secret place in the forest full of squirls as well, we sat on a log and then 3 came to see what was going on! very funny to watch! Squirls are like pigeons here. In France, i think i have seen maybe 1 every 2 years :) here they are everywhere!

Stanley Park is also home to the Vancouver Aquarium. It looks like every other aquarium, but the interesting part is with the canadian animals. Like the beluga wales that lives in the artic, or the sea otters that lives on the British Columbian coast.

  VanDusen Botanical Garden

This garden is a huge maze of trees, flowers, plants, squirls from all over the world. Very nice and peaceful place.
We went for an afternoon here after visiting the Punjabi market, the indian area of vancouver. Unfortunately there was no market when we arrived but we found a good 'all you can eat' Himalayan Restaurant! yummy!

  Capilano river

Back again! Now that Mac is working again, I can update this wonderful blog a bit :)

cleveland dam

At the beginning of September we went to one of the biggest tourist attractions around Vancouver: Capilano Bridge.
This is a suspension bridge which crosses the Capilano Canyon. It is meant to be the longest and highest of its kind. Very scary!!! I nearly poopoo in my pants!

capilano bridge

This place is a bit too "cheesy" with loads and loads of tourst, but it is still quite impressive to be in the middle of the bridge, 70 meters above the river! You can see all the photos here, try the slideshow view!

A few weeks later, we went back to Capilano, but this time under the bridge, to do a little hike along the river! We started from the Cleveland Dam then walked down the river. We went to see baby salmon and salmon jumping the river at the Capilano Hatchery. There was hundreds of wild salmon there, coming back after a year travelling the Pacific.

Back in the forest, Jen got attacked by a giant bear. Here is the exclusive video!
